Rihanna and Teyana Taylor battle it out on Twitter
Like Us on Facebook The problem is, turns out Teyana posted a similar photo recently singing the same song, leading many to believe she was mocking Taylor. But unlike others who have entered the social media ring with Rihanna, Teyana ain’t backing down. The good friend of Brown and Tran, Taylor took to Twitter and warned Rihanna: Here’s the Twitter feud: @TEYANATAYLOR: “Don’t play wit me @rihanna [expletive] all this industry [expletive]… I sing caught in the rapture on IG then she posts her boy singing the same song, the same part, with curly hair and a snap back??? #PETTY… petty is petty and shade is shade, [expletive] knew what the [expletive] she was doing.” Rihanna took a more subversive route, Tweeting Taylor back that she was only in it for the free promotion from the “Stay” singer: @rihanna: “I REFUSE to help your career…you will NOT get an @ from me! Not til you pay me! #nomorefreepromo #iRefuse.” I can’t really post the rest of the Twitter feud because it’s more expletives than non-expletives but eventually more people got involved. Rihanna’s good friend Melissa Forde and even Teyana’s publicist jumped in on the action. Oh, social media how dumb thou art making celebrities look. 2013 BREATHEcast Christian music . Rihanna starts Twitter war with Teyana Taylor after mocking her Anita Baker cover song
But unlike Ciara’s less-is-more approach to the “Stay” singer’s previous online beef with her, Taylor didn’t take the jab quietly. “Petty is Petty and shade is shade,” she tweeted Sept. 24. “B–ch knew what the f–k she was doing.” The 22-year-old singer, who is signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music label, didn’t stop there. She compared Rihanna’s net worth to the amount of men she supposedly slept with in the entertainment industry. PHOTOS: RIHANNA’S NAUGHTIEST MOMENTS “Ya net worth & ya body count go neck to neck. #IndustryP—y” Taylor wrote. “90 million dollars & 90 million n—as diving in that b—h box.” The “Diamonds” singer’s usual outspokenness seemed to be silenced a bit by Taylor’s responses, but she eventually shot back tweeting, “I hate broke b–ches.” “I REFUSE to help your career,” Rihanna tweeted and later deleted. “You will NOT get an @ from me! Not til you pay me! #nomorefreepromo #iRefuse.” While some of Taylor’s tweets have also since been removed from her feed, she quoted lyrics from Rihanna’s mentor Jay Z in her latest post. “F–k hashtags and retweets n—a, 140 characters in these streets n—a. -HOV” she wrote from the hip-hop great’s song “Holy Grail.” RELATED: KANYE HAS MERCY ON A NEW VIDEO WITH PALS So although Rihanna may be worth an estimated $90 million while Taylor cashes in at $500,000, West’s protege is making it known no amount of money in the world will keep her quiet from aimless banter. In fact, RiRi may want to rethink her words as Taylor was previously accused of physically attacking a male movie director in 2011 after he allegedly pushed her in the face and called her a b—h. While she told The News at the time that she “did nothing wrong,” the director, Jean-Claude La Marre told TMZ she “jumped on me and began swinging.” Now, Taylor seems to be taking the higher road by keeping things strictly verbal.
The two threw down in a twitter spat that had the interwebz buzzing, and while the world twatched the ladies hurtle insults at one another, RiRi seized the moment to show off her upcoming fall RiRi Hearts MAC collection. Checkmate, Rihanna. With just days left until we can get finally our hands on her autumn line, Rihanna teased a ton of snaps of the highly anticipated makeup range on her Instagram . If this collection is anything like her former oneyes, we’re STILL obsessing over RiRi Woo then beauty fans of the world, we are in for a treat! Rihanna posted a video of her hairstylist Yusef wearing a curly wig with a baseball cap and a sneakers, singing “Caught Up In The Rapture” by Anita Baker to her Instagram account . Coincidentally, Teyana Taylor posted a similar video to her Instagram account singing the same song. According to the NY Daily News , Teyana didn’t take too lightly to Rihanna’s post and felt that the singer was mocking her. She went on her Twitter and posted, “Petty is petty, and shade is shade. B**** knew what the f*** she was doing.” Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde also joined in, backing up her friend. Teyana went on to compare Rihanna’s net worth to the amount of men she slept with in the industry. Rihanna responded saying, “I hate broke b**ches.” It’s not known why Rihanna decided to post a video mocking Teyana, but Teyana is good friends with her ex, Chris Brown, and also friends with his on and off again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, who Rihanna has also made fun of a number of times. Many will agree that Rihanna had this coming. Teyana did an interview with Hot 97 this morning, explaining her side of the story. She also calls Rihanna, a “cyber bully.” Listen to the interview here:
